Armin Schwarz, Germany

Armin Schwarz won the German Rally Championship in 1987 and again in '88, when he also received international acclaim with a fine drive in RAC with the heavy Audi 200 Quattro. Armin got a works drive with Toyota for 1990 and was often very fast but rarely reached the finish. His first and so far only WRC victory is in Catalunya 1991. Since that he has driven Mitsubishi, Toyota, and 1997 he joined the Ford team for a one season. In 1999 he was hired by Skoda to develop their WRC program.
