Francois Delecour, 33, belongs to the new breed of Southern European drivers. Before signing with Ford in 1991 he was relatively unknown. At first he was considered strictly as an asphalt specialist but during his years with Ford he has developed into an expert on any surface. Delecour is one of the drivers with good future prospects in WRC.
